Is Crispix gluten-free?

Crispix Cereal as breakfast

Kellogg’s Crispix is a cereal that is often thought to be gluten-free. This product is not certified gluten-free, and there are no gluten-free claims on the packaging.

However, there is nothing else on the packaging that would indicate this product is at risk for containing gluten.

The ingredients list does not include any wheat, rye, or barley, and there is no statement indicating that the product may contain traces of these grains.

It’s important to note that the cereal may be processed in a facility that also processes wheat products. So, if you’re celiac or have a severe gluten allergy, this cereal may not be safe for you.

However, if you have a mild gluten sensitivity, you may be able to eat this cereal without any problems.

However, I would not recommend Crispix to someone with celiac disease. First and foremost, Kellogg’s doesn’t specify that the cereal is processed in a dedicated gluten-free facility.

This raises the risk of cross-contamination, which can be dangerous for people with celiac disease.

Secondly, Kellogg’s has been known to produce gluten-containing products in the same workspace as their gluten-free products. This increases the risk of contamination even further.

For these reasons, I would advise people with celiac disease to avoid Crispix altogether. There are plenty of other delicious snacks out there that don’t come with the same risks.

And, if you’re looking for a gluten-free breakfast cereal, there are plenty of options on the market that are safe for people with celiac disease.
